Senior Healthcare Assistant (Ward)

This role matters. A unique opportunity has arisen to join our specialist Inpatient Ward as a Senior Healthcare Assistant – could this be you? This is a special role, where you will support and implement the delivery of nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered professional in a clinical setting.

The Inpatient Ward provides care for patients and their loves ones so that they can hopefully feel well enough to go home again or stay with us for end-of-life care.

The St Johnโ€™s Ward team are dedicated, skilled and experienced in caring for people with palliative and end of life care needs. You would be joining a professional and supportive team, who are committed to putting patients and their families at the heart of everything they do.

Flexible working will be required to meet the needs of the patientsโ€™ group and will include working evenings, weekends and nights as part of the nursing rota.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. The cost of this check is currently ยฃ54.30 and this will be deducted from the successful applicants first salary payment.

ยฃ17,546.88* - ยฃ18,083.52 (based on 24 hours / week, dependent on pension scheme)
Holiday:
27 days plus usual Bank Holidays per annum (pro rata)
Pension:
St Johnโ€™s Hospice Pension Scheme (St Johnโ€™s pays an 8% employer contribution) or *NHS Pension may be continued subject to eligibility
